Our hearts are truly saddened by this news yet comforted knowing that he is with our Lord safe and sound. We know he lived a life that he loved and adored his precious family more than anything in the world. Aunt Yvonne, Brian, Katie, Billy and Christie…he loved you all more than life itself and will be with you always!!! You are one of the most incredibly BEAUTIFUL families we have ever known and we are so blessed you are apart of ours. He will be forever OUR ANGEL and the best Uncle Brian we could have ever ever had! We love you Uncle Brian, may you rest peacefully with your Lord Heavenly Father. We love you all dearly and hold you deep in our hearts.

    Yvonne,
I know words have no value at this time. Take comfort in all the lives Brian impacted during his years on earth. On all the good he did and that was in him, part of his very being. He leaves a big void in many of our hearts. Prayers and love.

Yvonne, Brian Jr., Katie, Billy and Kristi. It seems like just last week he was having breakfast at Tommie’s with the Malibu guys and gals. Brian was chatting with everyone, and you could hear him a block away. We all said goodbye and see you next time… I remember Brian saying bye to everyone with a big Brian pat on the back or a bear hug. Who would ever guess that we would never talk to him again? We all loved Brian; we loved his personality, his devotion, and everything about him. He was an all around great person, great cop, and a great friend. He had a wonderful and unique personality. I cannot remember not knowing Brian… I guess we ALL go back a long time with Brian… He will forever be in our thoughts and missed by all… There is a New Sheriff in Heaven and Heaven will never be the same, now that Brian is up there…

I am deeply saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. I first met him in 1980 while working MCJ and I can still picture him walking down the main hallway singing a “Doors” song. Brian was a kind and gentle soul with the greatest sense of humor. I was fortunate to work with him again at Narcotics Bureau where he excelled as an investigator. Whenever I spoke with him he always mentioned his family and how proud he was of them. With Brian’s passing we all have a deep void in our lives, but thinkink of Brian always brings a smile to my face.

    Dear Corcoran Family:

Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. Your dad was one of the best people in this world. I worked with Brian at Malibu station and again when he was in Narcotics Bureau. I was a secretary at both Malibu and Lost Hills.

Brian always spoke of how much he loved his wife and family. He was a family man and always thought of all of you FIRST and foremost. I loved that he was rough and tough on the outside and a marshmallow on the inside.

I will pray for you and your family, that your loss will find comfort and healing. Remember that healing from such a loss does not have a time limit. It is very personal and individual.

God bless you all and please give my love to your mother, she is a beautiful woman, take care of her.

I will always have Brian in my heart. He had the difficult job of delivering the death notification of my son, Scott, in 1985. When he arrived I wasn’t home. He returned later with Lt. Jack Innes. Brian was obviously sad and upset. I felt for him having to face a fellow deputy he knew from Malibu with devastating news. I am grateful to have known him and can relate to all the great things others have said about him.

God has blessed you, Yvonne, and your entire family with Brian’s life. May the Lord comfort you and continue to bless.

I couldn’t bring myself to write anything yesterday. However, I want to tell you Aunt Yvonne, Brian, Katie, Billy & Kristy that there really are no words to measure the hurt of losing the treasure we have all lost. Uncle Brian was the kind of man I hope my sons grow up to be like. He was kind, noble and dropped everything to help people, including our family more than once. He was the first to call you his “lu bug” if he was in good spirits or tell you “you’re being a Boob” . He made me laugh, he taught me so much and helped me not give up when I was having a rough time in life. We are going to miss him so very much. I will continue to pray for peace for your family & we will find comfort in knowing Uncle Brian has gone home to be with our Lord. ~ Love you all so much. Ilan,Sara,Tyler,Blake & Ashlee.

Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Corcoran once very quick and I think from the back yard to the back door, while sitting around the fire pit before my first adventure to borderline with billy Dallas and friends. With the quick smart ass jokes Mr.C made you could tell he was an outgoing genuine all around great individual.
Wish I could of had the opportunity to really know this man like so many did. Billy…… The man, friend, person I’ve come to known speaks wonders about the kind of upbringing you had from your father and mother. So in a sense, I have a pretty good idea what kind of man your father was. I know without a doubt he was proud of you. Honor him by continuing being the same great person while he continues to be proud of you, watching from above.

Ps. Billy, when you have time, we need to have a afternoon Bball session followed by a borderline night in honor and remembering of the big guy.

Brian was always a humble giant to me. A great man in every way. A mentor to me and many others as a deputy. I have the deepest respect and sympathy for the Corcoran family and pray you are comforted during these difficult days ahead.

In everything we give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thes 5:18 .

I am thankful we will have Brian, to help welcome us one day into eternity with Christ Jesus.

I was in total shock on hearing of Brain’ s hospitalization and then of his passing. He was always such a tough guy on the outside, but a true gentleman/nice guy on the inside. It’s just hard to believe he is gone. But, the good news is that because of his relationship with Jesus he has been healed and is in the very presence of his Savior!
I pray that knowing this will bring you comfort as you adjust to life without Brain.

I have been reflecting over the last week or so about what a great man and friend Brian was. We spent most of our times talking about our families. I always enjoyed our conversations about our kids. Our boys, their successes, their messes, their character. We talked about our daughters and the hopes and dreams that we had for them…finding that perfect guy. Realizing all the while that no knuckle head would ever be good enough for Katie, Christy, or Kyndal. We laughed about cleaning his guns right in front of the guy on that first date. We talked about how blessed we were to have such wonderful wives! Always there from home schooling to just making our lives so much easier.

I will miss those conversations and the times we enjoyed having a great steak at Ruth’s Chris or having a family meal at Bakers Square. I will always remember the night he walked with me on Ventura Blvd. as I struggled with Jeff’s health scare. He was the one reminding me that God was in control and Jeff would be ok. He was right!

Brian was a great friend, and what I appreciated about him the most was the fact that he cared for my children and loved them as if they were his own. He was my friend and my brother and I will truly miss him.

“A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” (Proverbs 17:17 NLT)
