Thank You For A Beautiful Celebration Of Brian’s Life
Thank you for sharing in the wonderful celebration of Brian’s life on Saturday, March 8th. Our family has been so blessed by the incredible outpouring of love and support. Thanks to each of you who donated the beautiful flower arrangements for his service. Thank you for the heartfelt cards and prayers and your encouraging words to us. The concern and care you’ve shown for the kids and me will never be forgotten. You have brought comfort to our family. In a few days, I will be posting the video of the funeral service on this website, for those of you who weren’t able to attend or would like to see the service again. We will all have trials and tribulation in this life. I just want to continue to tell people about God’s faithfulness and the way He sustains me, giving me the daily strength I need. He is always there for us, the never-changing God. His Word is true…”I will never leave you or forake you.” ~ Hebrews 13:5 One of my favorite songs, “Praise You In This Storm,” is a reminder that God will never leave our side: “Praise You In This Storm” by Casting Crowns words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms I was sure by now, God, that You would have reached down and wiped our tears away, stepped in and saved the day. But once again, I say amen and it’s still raining as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain, “I’m with you” and as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away. Chorus: And I’ll praise You in this storm and I will lift my hands for You are who You are no matter where I am and every tear I’ve cried You hold in your hand You never left my side and though my heart is torn I will praise You in this storm I remember when I stumbled in the wind You heard my cry to You and raised me up again my strength is almost gone, how can I carry on, if I can’t find You and as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain, “I’m with you” and as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away Chorus I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and...

I arrived at the hospital at 9am and his oxygen sat. was 78%. The nurse said it’s been fluctuating between 75% – 80%. They haven’t turned him or moved him throughout the night. He seems comfortable and is resting peacefully. God is carrying our family through this. He hasn’t left Brian’s side or our family’s side. God sees the bigger picture than just our time here on earth. Our understanding is finite, but He sees the big, huge, infinite picture. I trust Him. He is so worthy of my trust. I’m choosing to look at the little miracles He’s blessing us with and what I can be thankful for today. ~ “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” ~ Isaiah...

We had a family meeting with Brian’s doctors today. They said Brian is not improving. They will continue to keep him comfortable. Thank you for your love and your prayers. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

During dialysis, his oxygen sat. was 89-91%. But 5 minutes after they took him off dialysis, around 4pm, it dropped to 76%. Currently, at 7:15pm, he’s at 82-83%. He still has atrial fibrillation, but they’re trying to control it with medication. The way they explained it, it’s like he’s running up a hill instead of walking and that uses more oxygen. It could be because of his atrial fibrillation, but they’re not exactly sure why he de-saturated so quickly after dialysis. Dr Rivera wants to have a family meeting tomorrow after 11am. Thank you for praying for him and us! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians...
