Oxygen De-Saturation

During dialysis, his oxygen sat. was 89-91%. But 5 minutes after they took him off dialysis, around 4pm, it dropped to 76%. Currently, at 7:15pm, he’s at 82-83%. He still has atrial fibrillation, but they’re trying to control it with medication. The way they explained it, it’s like he’s running up a hill instead of walking and that uses more oxygen. It could be because of his atrial fibrillation, but they’re not exactly sure why he de-saturated so quickly after dialysis. Dr Rivera wants to have a family meeting tomorrow after 11am. Thank you for praying for him and us! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians...

Thankful For Today

Brian had to be cleaned up at 6am so that means they had to turn him. He de-saturated to the low 70’s. Currently he is at 80/81. His temp is normal. Dr Rivera said they are in uncharted territory because it’s rare that someone, with this low level of oxygen, survives for this long. I’m just thankful for today….and I’m hopeful. “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” ~ Collisions...
