Have A Restful Night & Oxygenate!
The nurse just said normally they do a chest X-ray after inserting a feeding tube, but the doctor decided to leave Brian alone for the night and let him rest and get his saturation numbers back up. Tomorrow they will take a chest X-ray to check the position of the feeding tube. I couldn’t agree more!

Brian’s oxygen sat. number was at 84%, but it is currently 83% and climbing because they had to reinsert a new feeding tube into his throat as the old one was clogged. The nurse gave him a small dose of the paralytic drug so he wouldn’t move or de-sat while she did the procedure. I’m so thankful for baby steps in the right direction. Brian’s nurse said he had a good night. His oxygen sat. at 7:30am is 89-90. Yesterday, his doctor said he has some fluid in his lungs and some lung stiffness. Please pray that Brian makes healthy lung tissue and that there are no complications. Also please pray that there is no brain damage. His color is good and he is totally off the paralytic med. Thank God. “When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.” ~ Psalm 56:3-4
