Praying For An Upward Turn This Weekend

The infectious disease doctor just left. He said Brian is pretty much the same but better than last week. He said “Brian has been plateauing for sometime and I’d like to see him get better by Monday, if possible.” He said that we can’t leave him on 100% oxygen, via the endotracheal tube, forever. He’d like to do a tracheostomy soon, but he can’t do that if Brian is still on 100% oxygen….there’s no wiggle room. Brian will de-saturate when they do the tracheostomy, so he needs better oxygenation before they do it. Please pray that his lungs heal and his oxygenation goes way up this weekend. It’s at 88% right now, Friday. The doctor would like to see it at 95-96%, prior to the tracheostomy.
